Jeannette was last seen at 9:30 in the morning hitchhiking towards Santa Rosa Junior College where

she attended classes.  This hour is quite a bit earlier than when the other victims were last seen.

Early on Jeannette was ruled out as being the Jane Doe that was found in 1979 because

Jeannette wore a dental bridge and none was found at the scene where Jane Doe was found.

I have recently learned (October 2009) that DNA testing is being done to be positive that this is true.
